Our standard workflow is sequences in, data out: we express just enough protein to run your assays. When you want physical material in hand, we can scale up expression of selected designs and ship purified protein back to you. Scale-up runs on designs we have already expressed, so it follows an expression assay rather than starting from scratch.

When to use

  • You have identified top hits from a screening or characterization campaign and want protein for your own downstream work.
  • You need purified material for assays we do not run in-house.

How it works

Pick your designs

Select the designs you want scaled up, typically your best hits from a prior run, so we reuse the DNA and sequences we already have.

We scale and purify

We express at a larger volume and purify the protein by affinity tag.

We QC it

Every scale-up includes HPLC-SEC and CE-SDS, so you see purity and aggregation state alongside the material.

We ship it to you

Purified protein is shipped back in a standard buffer, or a format we agree on for your application.

Scale options

Three culture volumes are available, small, mid and large. Yield depends heavily on the protein, so each tier carries an expected range rather than a guaranteed amount. Contact us for current volumes, yield ranges and prices. If you need more material than the large tier delivers, tell us the amount you need and we will scope it.
Turnaround depends on the protein and the tier. Contact us at support@adaptyvbio.com, or through your experiment, to scope a scale-up run.
